Interest Vs priority

Doing what you have to do sustains your livelihood but doing what you like makes you who you are. And if you are doing something that makes you passionate, keep this lifeline of yours.

Most people live by the days but lesser live by the seconds. What would I do then if I know tomorrow has becomes a privilege :)

The human mind is a complex matter containing mixture complex of thoughts, beliefs, ideas and experience. And thus what makes one like certain things is made up of definitely more than one factors. Lesser by any, these interest would not have stayed. And thus even so is the chance to fall in love with what you are doing :0)

Drag packer series to Ethiopia!

Down to w.s.d.p! Great sharing by Darryl!

Like what he had shared, exploring places with the 5 senses = Drag packer!!

Seeing the clips and his sharing, naturally I made a comparison to our dearest country SG! And its really amazing there is something to compare between a cosmopolitan city and a 3rd world.

Social developments of the society falls back deeply to the standard of literacy in the country. And it boils down to the infrastructure provided by the country, the government. Lets first go to SG.

In SG, we are proud of our "breath-taking" system. Compulsory education for all citizen and well planned education paths for citizen to "pursue" their forte. But result was a very stressful society, minimal social grace to talk about, quite higher than normal suicide rate and increasing low birth rate. Citizen all falls into career rat race, doing something not they want and not that establish spiritual development.

In Ethiopia, famous for AIDS, stray kids, poverty, drought and corrupted system. But I have been constant "disturbed" by clips showing laughing people, a student reading as he works as a cobbler, remarkable hospitality and amazingly high social grace. Darryl even commented their level of contentment to Bhutan!

Now, is there something "strange" about the social system currently in placed. I tried my best to rationalize and brought it to our constant flux of the new citizen. In SG we are proud to be in a culture "melt pot". Or maybe that's our very own SG culture ...... but then, what exactly do we want to develop into? (Mind-Bogging indeed)

P.S Keep a look up to the second episode of w.s.d.p Drag packer series :)

Gambatek!!

As we jog up a steep slope, our feet feels the strand. Our heart beats harder and we keep telling ourselves to give up. Usually we just maintain our pace, not to go too fast to prevent wasting unnecessary energy. At this time we need motivations. A cheer from a friend or just a commpanion that runs with us, to tide over the crisis.

When we joy down a steep slope, we accelerates! It is these times when a little more effort goes a long way. In life, when we are at the plateau of progress, all the more we need to have all the drive, motivation and passion!

Yet when we jog faster and hasten our pace, the more we need to observe our footstep. A mistake made in one step, we fall. Isn't this so when we chase after the finest in life. A wrong step we make pave a way full of regrets.

The taste I felt today.

After the spicy, bitterness and sourness turns bland, tried ways to convince myself and tries other flavors of life. Discovered the richness of coffee that never fails to be the embodiment of different facets of life, the tastes of life and how life should be faced.

Yet after such a long while, the after taste of yesterday's favorite lingers around but gives a surprising sweetness and a mellow taste of freedom. Maybe the greatest taste is meant to be appreciate and remembered but never to have it stubbornly. And at least I found the purest of taste of my original pursue. The taste I believe will never fade . . . . . . .

Union of two individuals

People says marriage is frightening. It means tomb for relationship, freedom and individuality. Things that we do by ourselves, we make our own decisions, now a "stranger" might jeopardize the plans.

The guys might say, "My wife, she always nag, scold the kids, picky, irrational and has a very short temper. Never see things from my shoe."

The women will say, " My husband, good for nothing. Never help in the household chores. Always so passive, can not even arrange for the utility bills. Never see things from my shoe."

But he or she should be the one that makes you crazy over with.

To me, be in mind that all mentioned above can happen! But isn't these things that creates color to your life? Occasional bickering is normal as marriage is the union of two different person from different background, families, history and two different world. And since the vow has been made, discover the next part of the life together. Its definitely a whole new chapter, but with considerations and right amount of sensitivity, I suppose the new chapter can only be better.

In these diversfied world containing trillions of people, living at different parts of the world. For them to come together and walks the remaining path together, entrancing the past and aging together. Isn't that the rarest thing on earth :)

Best weapon on earth!

Nothing is more powerful than the thought of gratitude even if its just a slight moment!

It can end a war.
It can end any fight or maybe there would never be fight.
It gives hope.
It provides motivation to move on.
It makes you recall how to cry.
It makes you cherish what you have.
It makes friends.
It can only allow progression on mankind, be it social or scientific development.

Last but not least.....
It gives you reason to wear a smile in any moment :)

TGIF

Typical weekends for city dwellers is to ....laze around. And ya in fact I get to know someone that makes me feel so strange yet common.

This lady's saturday do not wish to wake up early b'cos its weekend!! Then Sunday evening do not go out b'cos Monday need to work!!.......so effectively instead of the 48hrs of free time...she's left with about 36hrs inclusive of the normal human 7 hrs of sleep!! Weekends to her is an anticipation yet a sorrow.

Lazing around on weekends to me just feel so fleeting and waste of TIME! muahhaha......

My every Saturday date!!

Interacting with a person, I get to learn his experience and character. They will also be a mirror for my reflection . . . . . . then I have 10 ~20 mirror to look at every Saturday night!! How can I not grow :)

Life has really been so kind to me :)

Nice hobby of mine :)

Do I born to like sensual pleasures or just because I yearn for comforts of life.

I like the pool, sea, breeze and the sun! It feels so good to just think of nothing, laze under the sun and plug in to some light jazz or bossanova. In the evenings, nothing beats having a few close friends, chatting away under the sound of sea breeze. Life is just perfect!

I am not those buff up hunks or any pale chicken that wants to cook themselves raw under the scorching sun.....but I just like being pampered by the sunlight , feeling life in every little bits of cells on my skin.

Its the most ideal way to spend my weekends, and to charged up myself to face the challenges that coming my way!

But life is strange! Almost none of my friends like or at least do all this with me :( How I wish I could find someone that cherishes life every single moments and celebrates the start of everyday :)

No signs from the monk's saga but rather a very great bazaar in front of my eyes. I think I reach there about 9am and still have to squeeze around to patron the stalls. Everyone wears a smile wor!! haha. Quite alot of things caught my not that big eyes.

Monks are there helping out. There is no sectorial differences and you see their "in-house" resident monk as well as monks probably from Sri Lanka...... They serve with sincerity and even call out to the patrons and crowds.

There a some youth taking the band performance.....not a very perfect performance but wow they did well for the occasion.

The stalls are run by their study groups and I suppose quite a few external vendors too! Their youths from Fo Hai Chan Si was there to with their stalls selling bathing products in a very cheap rate! They are cheaper when I was shopping at other place and happen to see the same product. Not just that.....running the stall is only a fraction, the rest of the youths are clearing tables.

They just uses their eagle like sharp eyes on the tables and as long someone leave the table, they will clean it up.....!! With their cloths and hand. Now who says the youngs are pampered!! They are just doing it as a duty........!!

Buddhism is not about the temple and the monk only. And if you are trying to assess the monks cultivation, look at his followers :)
