I use to hate mushrooms a lot during my childhood....then entering my teen days.....suddenly going crazy all over mushrooms.
Tonight had a great dinner with my crappy temple mates.....especially the "same day yet diff taste" Grace....just prove one thing.....reaching earth on the same day of the year does not mean identical taste...especially comparing with my superb taste buds....muhaha!!
The appetizer on the left is my best taste of the night.....this shrooms taste very much like abalone.....spongy yet will not stick between the teeth...I quite like the juicy yet fresh and slight bland taste that goes very well with wasabe...!! I don't think I can buy this locally as from the cut i think it is quite a giant shroom.........it comes with all set dinner u choose wor.
Our nice vegetarian shrooms steamboat!! I never regret choosing vege over the meat!!....cos its so nice its driving me awesomely crazy!! Be carefull!! the soup is very addictive!!
Trust me......believe ur eyes....all u see in this pot is shrooms of all kind.....except a few lonely dates floating around....poor thing.
Some of the shrooms i manage to fish out!!We are also served with a very flowery tea and also the dessert which i opt for green tea jelly.....nice thick green tea taste.....although it look real slimy.....eeeww.......
Haha......After the meal we head straight home with bloated tummy and a "half died" siew ching"!!
